Early start to World Cup 2014!

Hershey is 6!! 

We celebrated Hershey's 6th birthday recently and the birthday girl wasn't too happy that I made her don the party hat. I had to bribe her with a bit of treats so she'd pose for the camera! I got her a small piece of cake to commemorate the occasion and the 2 boys were more excited that she was. I think she just wanted to eat the cake whereas the boys were excited about the party hats, singing of the birthday song, etc..

Happy Birthday, Hershey Girl.. May you live a long and healthy life. Stay crazy (ok maybe not).. WE LOVE YOU!!!

I found these 2 quietly looking at me for quite a while when I was putting on my make-up and getting ready to leave the house. Hmmm.. I am being stalked/watched in my own house. 

Due to the boys' recent bout of flu, we make it a point to periodically check their temperatures even while they were recovering from it. Den-den seem to have discovered that he can take his own temperature without our help (and seems happy doing it)!

Little Bun is 30 Months Old!!

Two and a half years old... my baby is sure growing up fast. Whenever I kiss him goodnight, I have this crazy urge to roll him up and stuff him back into my tummy so that I can always be with him and protect him. He is the one who makes me want to tear my hair out when he doesn't want to eat, or when he insists on wearing a certain pair of shoes, or well... whenever he doesn't get his way. He is also the one who runs to me suddenly and asks for a kiss, or when sitting beside me in the car, he will ask to 'hold hand', or when he sees a cut on my finger, he will say 'pain pain' and then solemnly pat me on my head. 

Lately, he's taken an interest in water fountains.. Every time when he sees one, he will get all excited and insist on going up to check it out. This will keep him occupied for quite a while as he will be happily mesmerized by the water, sound and lights. In the mornings when we send him to school, he will wave and say 'hi' to the water fountain (??!) at our entrance and when we return home in the night, he will do the same thing. 

This boy is full of funny habits and has a lot of cheekiness. I am very curious to see what he'd grow up to be like, but that said, I hope he doesn't grow up so quickly!!

Happy 30th Month, little bun.. I love, love, love you. 

The past week and a half was absolutely crazy. Little bun picked up a bug (we guess it's from school) and fell really sick.. Started with fever then runny nose, cough and the works. The doctor said it was a viral fever and contagious, so we had our hands full trying to separate him and Den-den lest the baby catches it. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, Den-den fell sick too and his condition was worse than little bun. 

Poor baby was heaving and grunting as his nose was blocked, and he lost his appetite. At one stage his fever shot up to 39.2 degrees despite being on medication, and he was looking flushed and lethargic, so we decided to take him to the Children's A&E.

Other than a bit of cough, both boys are now on the mend (after passing the bug to me, Mark, my mom and my aunt). 

Little Bun #2 is 13 Months Old!!

I have a new sidekick.. This boy is beginning to get so attached to me. He follows me throughout the house and get very upset when he cannot get to me (like when I am in the kitchen where we have a baby gate or when I am in the bathroom). He likes to hold onto my fingers when he is trying to sleep and when I take away my hands, he hands will start to automatically 'search' for my hands. My little sidekick will also cling onto my leg and look up at me to pick him up.. if I still refuse after a few attempts, the tears will fall!  

Happy 13th Month to my sidekick. I love you. Always. 

Hong Kong 2014 - Day 04

This had been a whirlwind holiday, it was mainly planned with the boys in mind. No shopping for Mark and I this time, which is a first for Mark and I as we usually shop a lot when we are in Hong Kong. This time, all I got for myself was a Pooh bear iPhone cover (and Mark didn't have anything)!

We have reached the final day of our short trip =(. Although tiring, all 4 of us enjoyed ourselves and the time we spent together as a family. Memories that I will always treasure.

As we pack to leave, Mark had to hide little bun's much-loved Toy Story balloon in the closet (no way we can take it home with us). **sob** Bye, Woody. (Woody is little bun's favorite cartoon character at the moment, along with Elmo and Mickey.. Barney has lost his spot).

Hong Kong 2014 - Day 03

Another day in Disneyland!! (We have 2 day pass so might as well make full use of it..) Unfortunately it was a rather wet day, good thing I packed in some hooded sweaters for the boys!

That night, the boys got to meet with Mickey after we watched the fireworks display on the balcony. So happy that the boys got to get up close and personal with the star attraction! This is one of the main highlights of the trip and glad it happened on our last night in Hong Kong.
