The below is very true.. What a wonderful and magical feeling it is to feel a life moving inside you, and I have been blessed and honoured to experience this many times!

Life is like a seesaw ride, full of ups and downs. But whenever you are down, a good friend (or brother) willl jump on to other seat to bring you back up again!

My future artist?? Looking at the end result of his 'masterpiece', this isn't very likely.. Plus it is definitely not in his genes. (His dad STILL draws stick people/ animals - badly in fact).

New Sesame Street cooking set from daddy.. Got it at a very good discount and when you 'feed' Elmo, Cookie Monster will say 'I like cookies' (or something). Mark even bought extra pots/pans and food so the boys can cook up a storm.

The downside which we have since discovered, is that it is a pain picking up the all the small pieces of 'food' that the boys happily scattered all over the floor (or accidentally stepping on them.. which hurts!!).

Little Bun is 35 Months Old!!

Just one more month to go before little bun turns 3 years old!!! He is Mark's sidekick cum nemesis rolled into one, Den-den's nightmare come true (for constantly trying to steal his toys) and my darling, mischevious monkey! Somehow, he's got this knack of making you want to pull your hair out one minute, and hold him in your arms and smoulder him in kisses the next (true life accounts from his grandma, grandaunt, teachers, Mark, me, etc).

Happy 35 months!!! (Wooohoo... one month more of 'Terrible Twos' and we will be done!! **hopefully**..)

Can it get any sweeter than this?
(Ok, I bribed him to kiss my tummy with a mini-Skittle).

Little Bun #2 is 18 Months Old!!

Someone kindly came to 'help' me while I was putting away the laundry, until he decided it was more fun playing peak-a-boo instead! This is just how this boy is, doing cute little things which make me laugh when I least expect it.

I am making a conscious effort to ensure that he is not left out (admittedly, because he is so easy-going, I do unconsiously tend to pay more attention to little bun, who is the drama-mama around here). So poor Den-den sometimes end up being the 'tag-along'.. and the worst thing is he is so good natured about it.

Happy 18 months to my sweetie-pie Den-den. You are my priceless gem and thank you for simply being you.

Read this on one of leaflets little bun brought home from school... Another reminder that my kids won't remain little children forever and once they grow up, all I have left with will be beautiful memories of the time we spent together, so this is why I should make every single moment count!!

Finally we moved our asses from the comfort of the couch and brought the boys to the nearby park for a weekend romp early Saturday morning. It was a lovely, windy morning and the sun was hidden behind large fluffy clouds (which motivated me to do it since I try and avoid the sun.. not because of vanity mind you, but I break out in rashes (I think it's eczema) whenever I pespire, and it itches like  crazy).

The boys enjoyed themselves and we spent a good hour at the playground.

Here they are at one of their favourite places... the toys department! It's usually a economical and fun way to send some time with the boys while they go around the department checking out all the toys. One thing which I am pleased and proud of is that both boys have NEVER pestered us to buy any toys for them. After they have had their fun, they will happily put the toys back where they took them. Little bun will usually wave a cherry 'bye' to the toy/s while being led away. In fact, I'd say that 99% of the toys which they have were bought by us out of our own free will.

I went on a trip to the mall with a friend and her daughter not very long ago and the little girl (same age as little bun) kept asking her mom to buy her something from whichever shop we were in.. it ranged from a necklace to a soft toy to a book.. and whenever her mom said no, she threw a fit that started all the way from the mall back to the house!! After witnessing this saga, deep down I was so proud of my boys, and so very thankful this has never happened to us **knocking on wood**.

Den: "Hey mommy, check out my new friend - Bot Bot!
(that's how he pronounces robots!)

Budding musician? Usually he gravitates towards musical instruments/toys..

This beautiful poem appeared on my Facebook feed this morning, and I promptly 'shared' it on my own page. The font is a bit small, but you can read it here. It's like someone knocking me hard in the head, reminding me not to take things for granted.

One day, my kids will suddenly stop doing all these things with me/ us.. I complain that Den-den fondles my thumbs to sleep and the awkward position that I am in always give me a sore shoulder/ neck in the morning. But one day, I am sure not too long in the future, he will suddenly grow out of this 'annoying' habit and that time, I will think back and realize just how sweet that is. One day little bun will stop running towards me at full speed with a grin on his face while shouting out 'Mommmmmmmyyyyy!!' and then throw himself into my wide open arms.

And this is for you, Mark - One day, little bun will learn to play games on the iPad without your help and you will miss how he will cuddle close to you and watch you play while chanting 'Again! Again!'. One day, when you hear the song 'Wheels on the Bus', you will think back fondly at the cute way Den-den waddles his bum and 'dances' to the song. One day, you will look back and miss how they take turns to poop just before bedtime and you have to wash their stinky bums. One day, you will miss how you used to play 'Police and Thief' (or fondly called the 'Bang Bang' game) with the boys and how they squeal with delight and excitment.

So stop complaining and start cherishing every single moment before it becomes a memory.

Love my cheeky bun.. He did this during art and craft class (made from a big, red plastic bag) and me thinks he is a butterfly! Getting cheekier by the day, and I am loving him more by the minute..
